The old factory of Azel
Is located in Piraeus, and has been abandoned for almost 20 years.

The old factory of Azel is located in Piraeus, and has been abandoned for almost 20 years. The imminent location of the tram and the lack of cultural and free open spaces in a municipality with a large latent potential were the foundations of this task.
The building of warehouses on Gr. Lampraki is maintained by the old factory and most of the land is given as free public space. The limit on the Gr. Skylitsi is chosen to place the bulk of the building, thereby acting as a filter between the intense traffic flows and the free public space. The functions work in combination with focusing on culture and education (Centre for day 3 St age, library, exhibition spaces, cinema).
