Panos Dragonas

Panos Dragonas (RE: Public[space])

Panos Dragonas (Athens, 1967) studied architecture at the National Technical University of Athens (Diploma of Architecture, 1992) and the Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation, Columbia University (Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design, 1993) as a Fulbright scholar. He is Associate Professor of Architectural and Urban Design at the Department of Architecture, University of Patras. He was curator of the exhibition "2nd Biennale of Young Greek Architects" (Athens, 1998), assistant curator of the exhibition "20th Century Architecture: Greece" (Frankfurt, 1999) and assistant editor of the book with the same title (Frankfurt: Prestel, 1999). He is consultant editor of the Architecture in Greece and Design + Art in Greece annual reviews. His texts have been published in Architecture in Greece, Design + Art in Greece, Metapolis, Highlights, Stavba, Blueprint etc.

Panos Dragonas founded with Varvara Christopoulou the office deltArCHI in 2001. Their projects have been presented at the exhibitions "Landscapes of Modernization" (Rotterdam, 1999), "3rd Pan-Hellenic Architectural Exhibition" (Patras, 2000), "3rd Biennale of Young Greek Architects" (Athens, 2001), "Athens-scape" (London, 2003), "4th Biennale of Young Greek Architects" (Athens, 2004), "Invisible Hotel" (Athens, 2005), "5th Pan-Hellenic Architectural Exhibition" (Patras, 2006), in reviews such as L¶ architecture d¶ aujourd¶ hui, Archi, Blueprint, Stavba, Bauwelt, Spazio e Societa, Architecture in Greece, Design + Art in Greece, Domes and the publications Contemporary Architecture in Greece (Athens, 2005), 39 Living in the city (Brno, 2005) and 1000× European Architects (Berlin, 2006).
