On Thursday, 14 March, the architect Odile Decq, founder of the architectural office Odile Decq Benoît Cornette (ODBC), Architectes-Urbanistes, in Paris, is going to give a lecture in Benaki Museum. The lecture is going to be realized with regards to the 14 F/21 GR, που exhibition, which is organized also in the museum and lasts until March 24.

The exhibition presents architectural teams from France and Greece, through the promotion of their works in natural and urban environment. The aim not only of the exhibition, but also the lectures which re organized is mainly to reveal the common problematic that have the architects of the two countries and how these subject are realized on space.

Born n 1955 Odile Decq started her architecture studies in Rennes and then in l'Unité Pédagogique d'Architecture N° 6.In 1978, she had the architecture diploma and since 1980, she keeps the Benoît Cornette (ODBC) office.  At the same time with her intense architectural action, the architect was in the beginning professor in the architectural school of Grenoble, in Bartlett school in 200, in Columbia University, in Art academy in Vienna and in the Arts Academy in Dusseldorf from 2003 to 20005.Today, she is general director of the special Architecture school in Paris.

During her professional career, he has been awarded for realized projects like in 1996, in Biennale Architecture in Venice, and in 2001, for the extension of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Rome (MACRO), one of her most known works. Very important also works are Banque Populaire de l'Ouest, in 1990, the installation in 7th Biennalle of Architecture in 2000, but also the most recent, the restaurant of the Opéra Garnier in Paris, in 2011.

Through the observations of her work, it is apparent the trend of having a special architecture "identity" with a futuristic mood.  This fact, however, does not dismiss the simultaneous attempt of a glyptic sensibility in her projects either in buildings or in installations and artworks.
