Top house

Single family house at the top of mountain over the town of Saronis, with panoramic view of the Saronic Gulf. The placement and division of the building is imposed by the geometry of the land (narrow and uphill) but at the same time it serves real environmental purposes and reasons of better architectural design:

Best lighting and ventilation of the main rooms is achieved while all spaces acquire unimpeded view. The urban fabric is introduced at this area by the formulation of new volumes in height with single inclination roofs, while the elevations are formulated by individual concessions, projections and balconies which disrupt the linearity of the building mass and they are developing perpendicularly to the strong slope. The building appears then to fly over the ground and over the city.
