Demetrios Issaias and Tassis Papaioannou studied Architecture in the NTUA, where they graduate from in 1976. They set up their common architectural practice in 1979. Within this framework, but also in collaboration with οther architects, they have elaborated the design of many public and private projects, among which many had been introduced and presented within the Greek and the international literature. They have participated in various important national architectural competitions with entries that brought them a significant number of awards and distinctions. These projects comprise an important part of their architectural production and also constitute a valuable operational field for research and experimentation. Their work has been exhibited in many occasions both in Greece and abroad and they have been published several articles on architecture and their projects in Greek and international magazines and books.

Their list of work includes the Court House at Aigio (1st prize in Pan-Hellenic Architectural Competition, 1988), the Office Building in Athens (1st prize by the Hellenic Institute of Architecture, 2000), the Arsakeia School of Patras (2004), the Greekalbanian School of Tirana (2007) and the Environment Museum of Stymphalia (Distinction by the Hellenic Institute of Architecture, 2008).
