Greek version

The Canadian Pavilion is organized by 5468796 Architecture and Jae-Sung Chon along with a team of architects.

The message of the 13th Venice Architecture Biennale, "common grounds", is expressed through the Canadian entry with an installation, which represents a society. The society, with direct references to the country's respective ones, might seem homogenous at first glance, it is characterized though by diverse sociopolitical parameters.

The installation, entirely made out of wood, is the outcome of the work of several architects, each of which presents ideas about contemporary housing, based on their own ethnic and cultural background. Several stories related with the country's cultural evolution are also presented.

An entry that deals with the notions of memory, migration, generation, topography and cultural evolution.
