ADDITAMENT AND REFURBISHMENT OF AN EXISTING HOUSE FROM MID SEVENTIES IN EKALI, ATTIKA
The design concerns the refurbishment of an existing house from the mid seventies and the integration of a new volume on its rooftop. (D.Issaias – T.Papaioannou)

The fine condition of the existing building along with its functional simplicity led to the preservation of its interior design. A new metal staircase reorganizes the vertical circulation and unifies the new volume with the garden of the house. The new space only uses a small part of the roof leaving room for an open air structure exhibition.
The construction was realized with the cooperation of its owner, the Greek painter Alekos Fasianos.
